Members of San Quentin’s Brothers in Pen, class, along teacher Zoe Mullery, share some funny, intense, surprising and memorable short works of memoir and fiction, with time for dialogue and questions about writing in prison, the power of the creative process and what makes a story a story.
San Quentin's "Brothers in Pen" creative writing workshop has been running for twenty-three years, and many of the writers who have participated in it -- some for over a decade -- are now on the other side of the wall, living creative and interesting lives, and still writing.
