Understand the role of fats in your diet and how to make informed choices about the types you consume. This session covers the key fats—saturated, unsaturated, and trans fats—and their effects on your health, from heart health to energy levels. You’ll gain practical tips for balancing fat intake, reducing inflammation, and lowering the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease and diabetes. The program also explores the latest research on fats and offers guidance on applying current nutrition guidelines to your meals. Presented by Kylie Smith, MS, RD, CDCES. Kylie is a clinical dietitian at John Muir Health and also teaches nutrition at Diablo Valley College.
